BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE (FEES & SERVICE CHARGES-ADMIN, BUILDING, GARBAGE, LANDFILL, CEMETERY, TRAILER PARK )

 

WHEREAS all fees and service charges have been reviewed;

 

AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to update all fees and service charges as provided in the Municipal Code;

 

NOW THEREFORE The Corporation of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie hereby enacts as follows:

 

1.         That fees and service charges be changed in accordance with the following:

Where the miscellaneous accounts receivable pertains to property, any unpaid account shall be added to taxes after 30 days from date of issue, per section 7 of this by-law.

BUILDING INSPECTION:  PERMIT FEES

 

7.1        That a fee of $500 shall be added to the regular building permit fee when any person has caused a building to be constructed or demolished without first obtaining a permit from the Chief Building Official.

 

7.2        That a fee of $100, or the hourly rate times the number of hours involved to process the Stop Work Order, whichever is more, shall be added to the regular building permit fee to remove a Stop Work Order.
