BY-LAW NO. 45 - 08
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE (FEES & SERVICE CHARGES-WATER & SEWER)
WHEREAS all fees and service charges have been reviewed;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to update all fees and service charges as provided in the Municipal Code;
NOW THEREFORE The Corporation of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie hereby enacts as follows:
1. That sewer and water fees and service charges be changed in accordance with the following:

PAISLEY SEWER SERVICE AREA RATES (not taxable)
Effective for all billings after January 1, 2006, the sewer rate shall be 85% of the water charge for each metered property, invoiced in the ratio of 75% flat rate to 25% based on water consumption.

WATER SERVICE AREA RATES
Tara Metered WATER Service Area Rates (not taxable)
Industrial, commercial, institutional and bulk-metered apartment buildings, which consume more than 240 cubic metres quarterly, are billed quarterly, per unit, separate from taxation. If consumption is below 240 cubic metres per quarter, water charges are added to taxes at the annual base service rate per unit. Where consumption is historically below 240 cubic metres, the water meter shall be read annually at year end to determine the billing method for the next following year.

Any customer wishing to be charged on a metered basis shall, at the customer's expense, install a water meter. The metered rate shall be the same as the Paisley Water Service Area metered rates.
