Responsibilities & Contacts

The Clerk is responsible for the duties set out in the Municipal Act, 2001 and various other Provincial Acts as well as those directions and policies developed locally by Arran-Elderslie Council.
Births & Deaths Registrations Duties include:  all Municipal correspondence, Council meeting preparation and agendas, preparation of by-laws, minutes of Council meetings, follow-up correspondence, distribution of reports and documents to other Staff Members, the public and various Provincial Ministries, local planning matters, birth & death registrations, freedom of information and protection of privacy, municipal elections, etc.
