TAXES

NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS MAKING INTERNET, TELEPHONE OR BANK MACHINE PAYMENTS

The Municipality is still receiving many payments which do not coincide with account numbers and balances.

Ratepayers should ensure that they are selecting the correct vendor.  Arran-Elderslie has two online vendors, one for Paisley water and sewer billing as well as municipal taxes.

When making payments through electronic banking, ratepayers should ensure they are using the correct roll number for taxes and account number for the water/sewer bills that they are paying.  For multiple property owners accounts have to be set up separately and cannot be added together.

REMINDER

Paisley Water/Sewer Bills.  The due dates for these quarterly bills are January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.  If the bill remains unpaid after the due date, the balance owing is transferred to the tax account and will be subject to penalty, the same as tax arrears.

PLAY in Bruce Grey is the physical activity strategy for Grey Bruce designed to help residents become more active. With young children as the primary audience PLAY encourages families to be active together and make physical activity a part of their daily routine. Unfortunately, Grey Bruce has a higher rate of obesity than Ontario but by focusing on younger generations PLAY will hopefully reverse these trends. Check out www.playbrucegrey.com
